The Devil's Notebook [Part 4]

Quotes from SS Obersturmfuhrer Otto Rahn & Hans F Gunther

Otto Rahn (quotes taken from his book "Lucifer's Court")

“Like German heretics, they probably greeted each other with the salutation ‘Hail Lucifer, who was wronged! Greetings to you!’" [Hence his being greeted with “Hail Lucifer, who was wronged! Greetings to you!” upon reading this book in front of a Nazi gathering]

“The Cathars had another name for him [Lucifer]: Lucibel. He was not the devil. First the Jews and then the papists downgraded him to that.”

“There is light in the Light Bringer’s house – more light than in all the cathedrals and churches and places of worship, where Lucifer is nowhere to be seen among the Jewish prophets and apostles or Roman gods and other holy ones painted on dark glass panes. His forest is free!”

“Lucifer sent the morning star and the grandmother sent the evening star. The same star is called Lucifer or Venus. By no means has it fallen from our sky!”

“In the mountains and forests oun au descoubrit Apollon, where Apollo is discovered, it is still possible to hear in the rushing waters and trees the long lost and courageous lore of the old gods who were made into idols and devils.”

“Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit order, would have gladly belonged to the ‘chosen people.’ He once stated that he would have regarded it as a very special favor from God if he were of Jewish heritage and thus ‘a blood relative of our Lord Jesus and our beloved Lady, the most Blessed Virigin Mary.’”

“I am German, but for Jesuits, ‘there cannot be a separation of peoples into nations and races; for them there are only people who struggle under the flag of Lucifer and people who fight under the flag of Christ.’ Concerning my own faith, I am fighting under the flag of Lucifer.”

“Do you believe in Jehovah in whose service the bells of your Tyrolean cathedrals and churches and chapels toll from the early morning to late evening and his gatekeeper St. Peter, who live on the Palestinian Sea of Galilee but never in the land of Tyrol, will allow you into heaven to be received into Abraham’s fold? They abandoned you to hell!  Go confidently there at any time, whether or not you have found death in the mountains, in the rose garden, where people of your kind have so gladly done! Lucifer’s courtiers, to whom you belong, are to be found there. To enter this Luciferian realm, which is not heaven, you do not need that key that represents Jehovah and Jesus Christ’s governor in Rome, who sits on the holy throne  occupied by Peter. To unlock the gates to Lucifer’s realm you need a Dietrich, a ‘skeleton key.’ To partake in rose magic, we must secretly unlock the gates to this wonderland.”

“Prospective priests, they have betrayed life and its natural law.”

“To reach this mountain, Lucifer, that Apollyon of the New Testament, wished to pass over the highest clouds. Instead Jehovah cast him to the bottom of the deepest pit; for this Jewish God of intolerance, the paradisal Asgard became a place for the damned: hell.”

“Our heaven speaks only to the pure ones, not to base or mixed-raced creatures – but to Aryans, the noble and lordly!”

“We did not pray to Jehovah because this divinity was a God for the Jews and hasn’t any relevance for us.”

Hans F Gunther

Note that Gunther was awarded the Goethe award personally by Adolf Hitler for his writings*

“Indeed, people have even spoken in an erroneous way of a “Christian Antiquity”. What I described as Indo-European religiosity thus pertains to those periods in the history of the Indo-European peoples when the soul of the Nordic race could still express itself with sufficient vigour.”

“But there is no satisfactory exposition of Indo-European religiosity as such, and where such a description has been attempted, it is often either deliberately or unconsciously measured with yard-sticks derived from the Jewish-Christian world. We owe it to ourselves, however, as Teutons and as Indo-Europeans to seek out the true nature of Indo-European religiosity.”

“…the “fear of the Lord” (Proverbs, ix. 10; Psalms, cxi. 10) has proved neither the beginning of belief nor of wisdom.”

“In Christianity the conduct of the faithful before God is freely interpreted by the term humilis, and hence humility, meaning literally slave mind or serving the tribe, is demanded as the essence of religiosity. But this is non-Indo-European in outlook, an after-effect of oriental religiosity. Because he is not a slave before an omnipotent God, the Indo-European mostly prays not kneeling nor prostrated to earth, but standing with his eyes gazing upward and his arms stretched out before him.”

“Andreas Heusler (Germanentum, 1934, pp. 47, 48, 119, 122) has asserted that among the Northern Teutons there was quite enough violence, but never cruelty; only after the introduction of Christianity did converted zealots behave cruelly towards their countrymen. With the conversion of the North, an alien wave of cruelty entered the land.”

“The Gods who had been common to the Indians and Iranians now passed into the background behind the one Ahura Mazda, after whom Mazdaism is named. These other Gods, preserved in India, in Iran became the sacred immortals (amesha spentas) the representatives of the moral virtues. They were later regarded as the messengers (Greek: angeloi) of Ahura Mazda, and the archangels created by Jewish and Christian legends were modelled on them.”

“The French mystic and scholar, Amalric of Bena, who died in Paris about 1206, was even cursed after his death by the Church because he rationally rejected the teachings of God as a creator, and because he had asserted that such a God must be responsible for the sorrow of all living creatures and for the vices of man, since he had created them all. Amalric, the Pantheistic mystic, knew as a result of his Indo-European disposition, that the justification (Theodicy) by the all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-merciful God, of the evils of his creation, was impossible.”

The Devil's Notebook [Part 3]

 Himmler & Bormann on Christianity

Heinrich Himmler

“Marriage as it is today is the evil work of the Catholic Church. Regarded dispassionately and without prejudice, our present marriage laws are absolutely immoral. The marriage laws of today, presumably designed to protect the family, in fact led to a decrease in the size of families. After the war…monogamy will cease to be enforced upon promiscuous mankind. The SS and the heroes of this war will have special privileges. They will immediately have the right to take a second wife, who shall be considered to be as legitimate as the first. The permission to have two wives will be a mark of distinction.” [1]

“Can one understand that they raised their swords in wrath when the monks told them that they were "born in sin" - these best of the Goths, whose very name means "The Good Ones"? Cannot one understand the unspeakable contempt with which these noble men regarded those who promised them a reward in heaven for abstaining from doing things which, according to their own nature, were beneath the dignity even of animals?”

I lead to the straight path without a revealed book; I direct aright my beloved and chosen ones by unseen means.”- Satan, the Al-Jilwah

“Was that not a better religion than one which must be written down in a thick book, lest it be forgotten - and which one cannot properly understand until a priest comes and interprets what is written there? And even then, an act of faith is required to believe that this intricate interpretation is correct. In their day, faith grew from the blood and it was knowledge. Today it must be learned, for it is an alien faith, unable to strike roots in our blood. It is dogma and doctrine which none can know and which most of us silently renounce, because it is contrary to nature and reason. Tell me - have we become better since taking on this new religion? A great wordless sorrow resides in the breast of most of us, a boundless sense of homelessness, because the way of our ancestors lives on eternally in our Nordic blood like a dream. We want, once again, to be free of sin - like our ancestors were”

“People called them "HEATHENS". A few were so proud of this title that they incorporated it into their names, as one might don a precious jewel. For the heathen is one who remains true to himself and his kind, whose blood flows pure in his veins. And this pure blood regards the world with neither the hateful sneer of Sinai or the weak knees of Nazareth. It bears divinity, pure, clear and beautiful in its red stream, so long as the race endures.”

“What a strange god you Christians have, who created you upright, but who commands you to crawl to him on your knees! We heathens do not beg to our Creator; it would be an insult to the divinity in our souls.Nor do we heathens come to the Creator to complain. We do not proclaim our failures to the world and least of all not to the Creator. We seek to overcome our faults and to grow. Our way is not complaining, but anger - and first of all anger against ourselves.Nor do we repent, we heathens, because we cannot be cowardly; we have the courage to stand by our deeds.”

“When you Christians have finished burying your god in the sky - come to us; we heathens will again show you the Creator. And do not think we have settled accounts with you Christians.” [2]

"We will have to deal with Christianity in a tougher way than hitherto. We must settle accounts with this Christianity, this greatest of plagues that could have happened to us in our history, which has weakened us in every conflict. If our generation does not do it, then I believe it would drag on for a long time. We must overcome it within ourselves." [3]

"We shall not rest until we have rooted out Christianity." [4]

“It is now clearer to me than ever that it was a beneficial act when Bismark expelled the Jesuits” [5]

Martin Bormann

“Our National Socialist ideology is far loftier than the concepts of Christianity which, in their essential points, have been taken over from Jewry. For this reason, also, we do not need Christianity.... If, therefore, in the future our youth learn nothing more of this Christianity whose doctrines are far below ours, Christianity will disappear by itself...

It follows from the irreconcilability of National Socialist and Christian concepts that a strengthening of existing confessions, and every assistance for originating Christian confessions, is to be rejected by us. A differentiation between the various Christian confessions is not to be made here. For this reason, also, the thought of an erection of an Evangelical National Church by merger of the various Evangelical churches has been definitely given up, because the Evangelical Church is just as inimical to us as the Catholic Church. Any strengthening of the Evangelical Church would merely react against us...."

"For the first time in German history, the Fuehrer consciously and completely has the leadership of the people in his own hand. With the Party, its components, and attached units the Fuehrer has created for himself, and thereby the German Reich Leadership, an instrument which makes him independent of the Church. All influences which might impair or damage the leadership of the people, exercised by the Fuehrer with the help of the N.S.D.A.P., must be eliminated. More and more the people must be separated from the churches and their organs, the pastors. Of course, the churches must and will, seen from their viewpoint, defend themselves against this loss of power. But never again must an influence on leadership Of the people be yielded to the churches. This influence must be broken completely and finally.”

"We are inducing schools more and more to reduce and abolish morning religious services. Similarly the confessional and general prayers in several parts of the Reich have already been replaced by National Socialist mottoes. I would be grateful to know your opinion on a future National Socialist morning service instead of the present confessional morning services which are usually conducted once per week...."

"Christianity and National Socialism are phenomena which originated from entirely different basic causes. Both differ fundamentally so strongly that it will not be possible to construct a Christian teaching which would be completely compatible with the point of view of the National Socialist ideology; just as the communities of Christian faith would never be able to stand by the ideology of National Socialism in its entirety..."

"I decree that in the future Party members who enter the clergy or who turn to the study of theology have to leave the Party." [6]

“National Socialist and Christian conceptions are incompatible. The Christian churches are build upon men’s ignorance; by contrast [National Socialism] rests upon scientific foundations. When we [National Socialists] speak of belief in God, we do not mean, like the naïve Christians and their spiritual exploiters, a man-like being sitting around somewhere in the universe. The force governed by natural law by which all these countless planets move in the universe, we call omnipotence or God. The assertion that this universal force can trouble itself about the destiny of each individual being, every smallest earthly bacillus, can be influenced by so-called prayers or other surprising things, depends upon a requisite dose of naivety or else upon shameless professional self-interest.” [7]

The Devil's Notebook [Part 2]

A compilation of quotes from Joseph Goebbels on Christianity taken from his first two private journals

“The best way to deal with the churches is to claim to be a 'positive Christian'.”

"Afterwards, long discussions about the Vatican and Christianity. The Fuhrer is a fierce opponent of all that humbug, but he forbids me to leave the church. For tactical reasons. And so for a decade now I have paid my church taxes to support such rubbish. That is what hurts most."

“The manager of Father Coughlin, the anti-Semitic radio priest in America, tells us that America is basically more anti-Semitic than we give it credit for. He would like us to take a more positive attitude towards Christianity.”

“The Pope has made a Christmas speech. Full of bitter, covert attacks against us, against the Reich and National Socialism. All the forces of internationalism are against us. We must break them.”

“I put foreward my complaints about the church. The Fuhrer shares them completely, but does not believe that the churches will try anything in the middle of the war.”

“”Thyssen” sent a treasonous letter to Hitler, in the letter it said, “I felt it necessary to voice my protest against the persecution of Christianity, against the brutalization of its priests, against the desecration of its churches.”

“The Fuhrer is very skeptical about the possibility of finding a substitute for the churches, and rightly so. That will be the task of some future reformer, which the Fuhrer in no way feels himself to be. The problems he wants to solve are purely political. The battle with the churches is unavoidable, but it will certainly last a long time.”

“Only the church stands in our way now. The church has not abandoned its claim to domination over the secular world; it has merely dressed it up in religious clothing. In the days of the Holy Roman Empire, the church possessed that power, too. The state was the tax-collector, so to speak, while the church ruled the people’s lives. This lies at the core of the struggle today, in which we must – and shall – be victorious.”

“Christianity has infused all our erotic attitudes with dishonesty. The so-called ‘morality’ of today is mostly nothing but hypocrisy.”

“The Fuhrer is a man totally attuned to antiquity. He hates Christianity, because it has crippled all that is noble in humanity. According to Schopenhauer, Christianity and syphilis have made humanity unhappy and unfree. What a difference between the benevolent, smiling Zeus and the pain-wracked, crucified Christ. The ancient peoples’ view of God was also much nobler and more humane than the Christians’. What a difference between a gloomy cathedral and a light, airy ancient temple.”

“And so far as the slaves are concerned, the people who were supposedly freed by Christianity: they were far less free and far more oppressed than in ancient Rome.”

“Raeder is making representations in favour of a Christian book about Narvik and has argued very strongly for it to me. He is a very pious Admiral. But the war at sea is being won not with prayers but with U-boats and torpedoes.”

“The Fuhrer is deeply religious, though completely anti-Christian. He views Christianity as a symptom of decay. Rightly so. It is a branch of the Jewish race. This can be seen in the similarity of religious rites. Both (Judaism and Christianity) have no point of contact with the animal element, and thus, in the end, they will be destroyed.”

“Reichsleiter Martin Bormann became Rudolf Hess’s successor as Hitler’s deputy in party matters after Hess's sensational flight to England in 1941. He proved to be one of the most radical and uncompromising Nazis, filled with a hated for the Church.”

“American Newspapers claim that Stalin has been preordained to save Christianity.”

Roosevelt has thought up a new Christian propaganda for the Easter holidays. He compares the road of the vanquished peoples of Europe to the road to Golgotha, and claims that he of all people has been divinely ordained to protect Christianity against neo-paganism–this, of course, with the aid of the exceptionally Christian Soviets, who have distinguished themselves in the past by their religious fanaticism!”

“Göring, too…his whole attitude toward the Christian Churches toward the Christian denominations I quite open and above board. He sees through them, and has no intention whatever of taking them under his protection.”

“It’s a dirty, low thing for the Catholic Church to continue its subversive activity in every way possible… Next to the Jews these politico-divines [politisierenden pfaffen] are about the most loathsome riffraff that we are still sheltering in the Reich. The time will come after the war for an over-all solution of this problem.”

“The Führer spoke very derogatorily abut the arrogance of the higher and lower clergy. The insanity of the Christian doctrine of redemption really doesn’t fit at all into our time. The Führer cited a number of exceptionally drastic and in part even grotesque examples. Whereas the most learned and wisest scientists struggle for a whole lifetime to study but one of the mysterious laws of nature, a little country priest from Bavaria is in a position to decide this matter on the basis of his religious knowledge. One can regard such a disgusting performance only with disdain.”
“The Catholic clergy is collaborating with the enemies of our country in a truly treasonable manner. I could burst with rage when I think that we cannot possibly call the guilty ones to account now. We shall save our vengeance until later.”

“A number of Catholic and Protestant ministers have been sentenced to death. They had offended the German armed forces in a most cowardly manner. I proposed to the Führer that the verdicts, together with the opinion of the court, be published.”
